GETTING SUPPORT

Here at the University of Sheffield we take great care of our students’ personal development and we have the necessary services to tackle with any issues you may confront yourself with on a personal level. Below are some useful links and contact info for different services provided:

University Health Service

You can receive treatment for the following diseases: coughs, colds, skin complaints, muscle and joint injuries, indigestion, constipation, vomiting and diarrhea, hayfever, bites. Additional services include treatment of minor infections and emergency contraception.

University Counselling Service (online registration required)

This service has an easy online registration process. After you register, the UCS will email you and you will have the possibility to book a one-to-one assessment session. All information about the student is confidential. Further tools include: self-help resources, groups and workshops.

Multi-Faith Chaplaincy

If you are looking for the purpose of life, if you’re hoping to get closer to God, if you seek to explore your inner self then you need to access the Chaplaincy service. You can find religious advisors, student faith societies or places of worship.

Disability and Dyslexia

They support students who have dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, depression, anxiety disorder, autism, who are blind or partially sighted, who are deaf or hard of hearing, who have a long-standing illness such as asthma, epilepsy or chronic fatigue syndrome, or physical impairment.

LGBT support
